Adelaide midfielder/small forward Abbie Ballard has earned a NAB Rising Star nomination for her Round Two performance in the Crows’ victory against Richmond on Saturday.

Ballard was vital in the Crows’ come-from-behind victory, booting two majors in the final term to secure Adelaide a nine-point win.

The 20-year-old left-footer, who was selected with Pick No.34 at the 2021 AFLW Draft, also recorded nine disposals and four tackles in the clash with the Tigers at Punt Road.

Ballard made her AFLW debut against West Coast in Round Three, Season Six, and went on to play three more matches (Rounds Four, Eight and Nine).

Adelaide recorded a 5.6 (36) to 4.3 (27) win against Richmond and will take on North Melbourne in Round Three at Unley Oval this Saturday.
