The AFL has named the umpires set to officiate in Saturday’s Toyota AFL Grand Final.
Matt Stevic, Simon Meredith and Shaun Ryan were selected as the field umpires with Brett Rosebury named as the emergency.
Ryan, who last umpired a Grand Final in 2011, will be umpiring his sixth Grand Final, while Stevic (2012, 2014-16) and Meredith (2012-14, 2016) will each be umpiring their fifth Grand Final.
The boundary umpires will be Robert Haala, Mitchell Lefevre, Matthew Konetschka and Damien Cusack with Brett Dalgleish named as the emergency.
Luke Walker and Adam Wojcik will be the goal umpires while Matthew Dervan will serve as the emergency.
AFL Head of Umpiring Peter Schwab congratulated the umpiring panel on their efforts during the finals series.
“To be selected to umpire in a grand final is a fantastic achievement and a credit to each umpire who will be involved,” Schwab said.
“The umpires chosen have worked extremely hard to earn their place on the biggest stage and we have great confidence they will perform strongly in Saturday’s match.”
