Crows captain Taylor Walker has been offered a two-week ban for engaging in rough conduct against GWS midfielder Josh Kelly.

The incident occurred in the third quarter of Adelaide’s 14-point loss to the Giants in Canberra on Saturday night.

It was assessed by the AFL Match Review Officer as careless contact with high impact to the head.

In summary, the incident was classified as a two-match sanction.

“The guidelines are really specific on if you rotate, sling or drive an opponent into the ground with excessive force,” Christian said.

“In this particular case I believe there was a rotation and elements of a sling and certainly there was a lifting motion as well.”

If Walker accepts the ban, he will miss the remainder of the 2018 season and be free to play in Round One, 2019.
