Running power could be injected into the Adelaide line-up to face North Melbourne this Sunday, with forward Riley Knight and wingman Paul Seedsman pushing for selection.

Knight (knee) and Seedsman (hamstring) will both face fitness tests later this week to confirm their availability.

Crows General Manager High Performance Matt Hass said Knight had progressed well since missing out on selection for the side’s Round 21 clash against GWS.

“Unfortunately for Knighta the knee didn’t progress as we expected last week and therefore he didn’t quite get enough training in to justify selection, but it’s progressed well over the weekend,” he said.

“We’re hopeful he trains with the main group this week and puts his hand up for selection.”

Hass said Seedsman was looking likely to return this week.

“Seedo’s been going great, it was fairly low grade to begin with so he’s done plenty of training,” he said.

“He will join the main session this week and if everything goes well there we expect him to be available.”

After obtaining a leg injury in Showdown 45, key defender Daniel Talia will also face a test this week.

“On further investigation, we’ve discovered some bone bruising in the fibula so he’s been slow to get going and needs a fair bit to go right this week to get up for the weekend,” Hass said.

Defender Kyle Hartigan (knee) and forward Harry Dear (knee) have both been ruled out for the rest of the season.
